New Parish Priest: Fr. Aidan O’Boyle takes up his appointment as Parish Priest of Kilmoremoy (Ballina)  on the weekend of September 7-8.  Fr. Aidan was born in Castlebar . His parents were John O’Boyle and Kitty Galvin.  He was educated in Ardagh NS; St. Muredach’s College; Maynooth College; the Gregorian University Rome; and Loyala University Chicago.
He was ordained by Bishop Thomas Finnegan in Ardagh Church on June 7, 1992 and was conferred with a Doctorate of Divinity summa cum laude in 2001.
His appointments: 1992-93 Post-graduate studies in theology, Maynooth College; 1993-95: Lecturer in philosophy and theology, Carlow College; 1995-1997: Post-graduate studies in theology, Gregorian University , Rome; 1997-2008: Executive Secretary, Irish Bishops’ Conference, Maynooth; 2009-2011: Graduate Studies in Pastoral Counselling (M.A.) at Loyola University, Chicago; 2011-2013 : Curate in Crossmolina; 2013 to the present, Associate Pastor  and then Administrator of St. Mary of the Woods Parish (Edgebrook)), Archdiocese of Chicago.
We welcome him to Ballina and wish him every blessing in his ministry.
